Thermo treatment
Red American Oak undergoes thermal treatment. During the process, the molecular structure of the wood changes, sugars are extracted, stability is enhanced and durability is increased. As a result of the heating the colour of the wood becomes darker as well. Depending on the duration and the intensity of the process, the colour of the oak changes to warm or dark brown.
Durable
Red American Oak grows in moderate climate zones. Concretely, in the Smoky Mountains in the Appalachians. This also inspired the name for this trendy floor. Due to the thermal treatment the oak acquires a warm brown colour. This results in a perfect alternative to tropical wood.
Aesthetic
The intense colour effect is present throughout the thickness of the wood – not only at the surface. This makes it possible to polish the Smoky! parquet floor in the course of the years without colour differences appearing.
Ready-to-install Smoky! parquet floors are ready to install, and installation is fast, easy and glueless thanks to Hoebeek’s Clip&Click® system. Fully glued installation is also possible.
Matching skirting-boards are also available (model V45) to give the floor a perfect finish.

Smoky! has been professionally pre-oiled with matt or satin hardwax oil.
